DAP is introducing a new line of four hybrid sealants designed to combine the best attributes of silicone and polyurethane, with specialized formulas for a variety of applications.
The AMP advanced modified polymer sealants provide a waterproof and weatherproof seal on interior and exterior applications alike. It resists mold and mildew growth across its lifetime, and may be applied on wet and damp surfaces at temperatures between 0 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The polymer meets ASTM C920 specifications for expansion and contraction in extreme weather conditions, and offers strong adhesion to a variety of building materials.
All formulations have a 30-minute paint and rain-water ready curing time, and offer UV protection against color fading, discoloration, and damage from harsh weather. Unlike silicones, the AMP will not crack, crawl, or produce shiners when painted, according to the manufacturer.

The AMP series is available in four formulations: AMP Kitchen & Bath, AMP Window, Door, Siding & Trim, AMP Self-Leveling Concrete, available now, and AMP Gutter & Flashing High Performance Sealant, available this spring. dap.com
